在某个充满不祥气息的大雨之夜，一辆仅载着两名乘客的末班电车缓缓驶来。途中一名乘客下车，谁曾想到依然端坐在座位上的另一名乘客竟然早已身亡，身上更有多处重创的痕迹。得到报案后，公安局迅速出动，侦察员林叙与杨冬则受命展开调查。随着调查的推进，死者的身份浮出水面，此人名叫辛言，曾经有过盗窃的纪录，而且他和效力于本市歌剧院的罗莉是同父异母的兄妹。林叙二人按照这一线索继续调查，从而得知了熊没见的恩怨。未过多久，歌剧院内一名演员死于非命，虽然此人似乎死于自杀，但根据现场的蛛丝马迹和可疑身影，专案组最终将两案并作一案。 真相逐渐浮出水面……
